Other Information about me/us

Other Info: We have been married for over 10 years, but my husband developed testicular cancer before we were ready to have children. Although he has completely recovered, he is also now 100% sterile. We attempted adoption for about 4 years before giving up on the system, but we would still very much like to be parents, so we are looking to become pregnant, ideally via donor/home insemination. We are located in western Canada, near Edmonton, and we would prefer a donor who does not insist on contact with the child but who is open to maintaining contact information if the child wants to meet him upon reaching adulthood.

UPDATE Sept 2016: We are in agreement with one of the wonderful gentlemen from this site, and hopefully we will be pregnant within the next few months if all goes well. Thank you to everyone who offered to be a donor!
UPDATE Jul 2017: Our efforts have so far been unsuccessful, though we are now following up some leads with a fertility clinic. Unfortunately, our original donor has had to resign due to his own changing life circumstances. We wish him all the best but now need a new donor to help us in our quest!
Update Aug 2017: We have found our new donor--again one of the wonderful gentlemen from this site. Our heartfelt thanks to all of the gentlemen who have reached out to us in generosity. The gift you give to couples like us is almost precious beyond words!
